Piato has cooked in the same 1886 building on the Agios Nikolaos harbour for twenty years. The menu follows the season and the island: PDO Cretan produce, Greek through and through, handled with the care of a family that has worked in hospitality for forty-five years. Two menus carry the meal. The kitchen’s plates sit alongside a wine list built almost entirely from Greek bottles. Read either below.
